The history of Lancelot in Italian. Discovery of an unpublished text from the XIV century
(Library of the FEF, ms. 1)
One of the most important manuscripts among those discovered in Italy in the last few years has been donated to the FEF. It consists of the XIV century fragment made out of the 56 sheets of a codex prepared in Florence, which contains the only known Italian translation of the most famous Arthurian novel from the XIII century, the Lancelot en prose. Core-topic of Luca Cadioli's Doctorate Thesis, this manuscript is presented to the public and analyzed by the experts of that tradition.
Talks by Daniela Branca Delcorno, Luca Cadioli, Fabrizio Cigni, Teresa De Robertis, Lino Leonardi, Maria Luisa Meneghetti, Nicola Morato.
