From the beginning, the FEF has operated in close collaboration with SISMEL. Although each maintains administrative independence, the relationship between the FEF and SISMEL is one of synergy and complementarity and runs through the secretarial services, the library, instruction, and includes publishing for which there is a specific convention with the Edizioni del Galluzzo.

Over the years the FEF has built links with many other organisations, signing agreements with institutions both public and private, Italian and international, creating a network to collaborate on projects and to share scientific knowledge. The Foundation's main partners are listed below, including details on the specific programme or individual initiative with which the FEF holds an agreement.
