Library and archive
Library and Archives
The library and archive constitute a central part of the resources of the FEF. Established at the birth of the institute with the bequest of the books and documents of Ezio Franceschini, they have grown both with further acquisitions of private collections of distinguished medievalists, particularly that of prominent scholar Gianfranco Contini, as well as through a focussed agenda of continued improvements and enrichment.
Open to scholars and students, with a nearly completely catalogued and inventoried collection, the library and archive of the FEF are a point of reference for medievalist studies and research in Italy.
